Mid October. Wow. And thank goodness. This year has been, to use a Glennon Doyle mash-up, brutiful. Brutal + beautiful. I’m longing for the descent, for the slide into darkness that let’s the new year be born.
And I know I’m not the only one who’s ready to release and go fallow. When I read
response to my September prompt I felt a deep sense of sisterhood, as if we were part of a murmuration with all those pulled by the spinning of the wheel into the downward spiral of the season.
If you’re feeling this pull, you’re especially primed for this month’s refection prompts. Before we get to them, a few quick things:
First so many thanks to everyone who has come out to events this month. I’m continually floored to hear how Letting Magic In has helped you to feel grounded, magical, and sane in these unbalanced times. One woman was so enthusiastic she leaned close to whisper to me This one’s gonna make the NYTimes bestseller list! While that’s a huge dream (and a heavy lift!), her comment let me know that this book is special, not just to me but to you as well. So thank you: for reading and for taking this crazy, heartwarming, brutiful journey with me.
Second, yes: we will be doing a mini-Witch Camp for paid subscribers! Yay! (You don’t have to do anything-it will just appear in your in box).
Finally, heads up: subscription rates go up on October 20th but you are locked in at your sign-up rate so if you are wanting to join for Witch Camp, sign up now.
And now for our regular pause to regroup, reground, and come back into communion.
Living in Relationship… with ourselves.
In this season of water, think about the tides and currents of your life.
