I love that you're doing this, it feels so much more real then a lot of online stuff these days. Being in Sweden I hace tried to find community closer but after finding your books and witch camp a few years ago I keep coming back.
I’m really looking forward to being a part of this community and supporting you as you find your footing in this new terrain. I have not explored substack as much as I’d like, so I will delightfully follow your lead on this.
I also have to ask… that first picture embedded, not the one of you alone but the group photo through the leaves… Is that at Bend of Ivy?? 😍 I attend a retreat there every summer; it is one of the most special places in my heart. I love knowing that you’ve been there too!
It is Bend of Ivy! Well spotted! I did retreats there for years... til I moved onto 25 acres, built a labyrinth, and thought "wait! I can do retreats without ever leaving the house!"
I think I found your work while I was in the midst of having babies, and now that I’m finally in a position to attend retreats… you’re focused on writing again. Someday, though, the stars will align and I’ll joyfully sign up for whatever you offer.
I do so look forward to my annual visit to Bend of Ivy- and my stop in at The Herbiary while in the area!
I'm so happy you're doing this, Maia! I love to read your writing in any format and on any platform, but I do love Substack and its back-to-basics, interactive nature. <3
I really wasn’t sure how I felt about committing to something like that, but I am loving it! It reminds me of a blogging used to be (a long, long time ago🤣). Are you writing here??
I'm not - although I have considered moving my author newsletter here just for the comment function. Maybe someday! Right now I have my hands full just keeping up with actual book deadlines, let alone writing anything else... I really feel you on the endless cycle of writing, editing, more editing, even more editing, publicity, then next book!
Thank you for the authors you recommended in this post. I subscribed to them to see what resonates for me too. I have found so much value in the connections you regularly provide, authors, books, etc.
I’ve been ghosting around, trying to get a feel for different substacks. Now I’m going to go back and subscribe to a bunch!
I know that there are always going to be wonderful new sub stocks to explore. Would it be most helpful to have a Substack of the month? I can just say that recommendation list getting very long. Maybe it should be an always changing thing?
Ha! I suspect you read faster than I do. I think I could handle 3 (I don’t want to recommend some thing if I have an actually read a couple of posts!).

I’m so thrilled your here, Sofie! Fingers crossed, lots of other past Witch Campers join us.🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼
Congratulations, Maia! I’m so glad to be a part of your newest community! Really been missing “my people”!
Let the re-gathering begin!

I am not writing here. Just absorbing right now.

Right? No one mentions the grueling schedule. Maybe you’ll guest post here at some point!
Happy to!

Substack of the month sounds good. Maybe five per month rather than one? 🤫 voracious reader here.

Welcome Kelly! Thanks for being here and helping to get this new community going!
